These are all commentaries on one or more of Paul’s epistles to the church at Thessalonia.

A.B. Simpson is from Christian Missionary and Alliance, and many people like his commentaries. Krell is a pastor living today, so this commentary by Pastor Krell is a newer one, more written in today’s words. Denny is one form the Expositor’s Commentary set, and it is conservative but it is an older commentary (still very good).

I would recommend you also looking under some of the larger single volume commentaries like Barnes, Spurgeon, Adam, G. Campbell Morgan, the Church Pulpit Commentaries, Clarke, MacKintosh, the Biblical Illustrator, Jamieson Fausset and Brown, many other good 1 volume commentaries on the Old Testament or commentaries on the Bible.

In this class, Treasury of Scripture Knowledge we show you what is and how to use TSK, Treasury of Scripture Knowledge. This work is simply a commentary of all the verses in the Bible where the author has gone through hundreds if not thousands of English study Bibles, and he has added whatever Bible references each of those Bibles had on that particular verse. As a pastor making sermons, this excellent reference tool within theWord can help you generate a very excellent sermon in a minimum of time and effort. This will leave you with a lot of extra time to pursue illustrations, commentary explanations, making structure and outline of the sermon, etc. It is a God send for preachers, really! Pastor David Cox
