Antichrist Library twm

This library for the free software program theWord at www.theword.net. It contains various works on or about that man of sin, the antichrist. This is properly a subdivision of Eschatology, but because of the importance of this topic and the fact that writers have found its importance to be such that they write separate works just on the Antichrist, it is included as a separate library.

The antichrist is one of the key characters of the end times (eschatology). He is a pawn of Satan, but at the same time, he is just as self-deceived as Satan is, and his personality is an exact image of Satan himself. “THE” antichrist is the one in prophecy that will oppose God in the end times after the rapture. But there are many antichrists which oppose Christ, God and in character, motives, and actions they are the opposite of Christ. They seek to plant the seed of Satan in people and in history. They are the opponents of Christ, or the “anti” of Christ.

Typical in this library are works on the authority of the Bible, the Canon, how to study and understand the Bible, numerology, works about revelation, interpretation, inspiration, works about the Bible in general, it’s nature, its origen, its composition, etc.

The term Bibliology (from Greek biblos meaning “book”) refers to the study of the nature of the Bible as revelation. It often includes such topics as revelation, inspiration, inerrancy, canonicity, illumination, and interpretation.Bible.org

theWord Atonement Library TWM (updated 5/15/24)

theWord Atonement Library

theWord Atonement Library

The theWord Atonement Library is a set of modules that deal directly with the atonement, or propitiation, which is Jesus Christ’s substitutionary death on the cross in payment for our death in eternity in hell. Hell is the place of God’s wrath on men and angels souls that disobey God. Only through believing on Jesus as your personal Savior (after having acknowledged your sinful condition and repenting of that), can you be saved.

This “being saved” is essentially Jesus stepping in between the judgment of God on your sin, between you the sinner and God the judge, and Jesus actually suffers for your sins. This he did on the cross. If you believe and trust, placing your confidence on Jesus Christ to be your penal substitute, then you will be saved.

As such, this is atonement. There are other theories of atonement that differ from this biblical view of atonement and it is very important that one has a correct view of the atonement in order to be saved.

Calvinism Library

In theWord Calvinism Reformed Library. theWord zip library, I present to you various books on Calvinism, basically dangers of it. These books are about Calvinism, and many works by people like Boettner (who is a Calvinist) do not have the tag “Calvinism” on them. I tag them as “Reformed”. If you want pro-views please search for “Reformed” works.

Note that I had to change the actual filenames for this internet webpage, substituting “calvin-ism” for “calvinism” for SEO purposes. In the actual zip file, all “calvin-ism” is “calvinism”.

theWord Creeds Pack
By David Cox

theWord Creeds PackIn this pack, I am including various creeds and doctrinal affirmations from different persuasions, but mostly Calvinist-Reformed perspective. This is because they are the most proficient at making, using, and demanding doctrinal creeds. I consider any catechism the same as a creed or confession of faith.

Some of these in the theWord Creeds Pack are not Calvinist-Reformed by the way. The Athanasian Creed is from the first centuries of the church, and it is an affirmation of the trinity. Martin Luther’s catchecisms are a basic document of the Reformation, and although Luther is the founder of the Lutheran Church, his creed or confession or catechism is basically a denouncing of Roman Catholicism. The Baltimore Catechism is Roman Catholic so that you can see how it compares with the many protestant confessions here.
